We are looking for someone who is calm in a busy working environment, a people person who is able to interact with patients both face to face and on the telephone.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all reception staff and associated functions, ensuring all functions are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols and timescales, and reporting to the practice manager as necessary. Promote a harmonious and professional atmosphere in this public facing role.

Watling Street Surgery is made up of three GP partners, a Business Partner. We have three salaried GP's, one ANP and three PA's with one practice nurse. We are a friendly practice, as relatively small in terms of patients we have 7300. We are very much team players where all work together and help one another, very much an open door policy.

Induction and training of all new staff
reception staff and EMIS training for Medical Students. Adding, editing and
stopping medication from Docman letters.

Rotas for reception staff, room plans for
Medical Students and PCN staff.

Ensure adequate staffing levels ensuring all
functions are covered as required, and the needs of the business are
considered.

Continually assess and evaluate systems and
quality, recommending changes and improvements to the practice manager as
appropriate.

Manage day to day issues that may arise within
the team or with individuals.

Regularly evaluate quality of individual and
team performance.

Oversee the prescription processing, consisting
of general queries and routine requests in conjunction with Practice Manager, clinical
team and Prescriptions Lead.

Lead on CPCS referrals and Social Prescriber
Link worker referrals, as part of PCN DES.

Carers Trust Contact.

Daily monitoring of fridge temperatures (to be
logged) and to ensure all samples are ready for collection twice daily.

Ordering and monitoring stock, for the clinical
teams.
- Management of appointments, to ensure they are
booked with the correct clinician and correct time allocation.
