Job summary
We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, works well in a team,
and is keen to learn new skills join our excellent Nursing
Team & Practice.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of the nursing team the candidate will have full training. They will be trained in venepuncture (taking blood), blood pressure measurements, long term condition reviews, assisting with minor operations/sexual health clinics and more.

Our motivated and well organised clinical team consists of:
4 GP partners and 4 Salaried GPs
3 Clinical Pharmacists
3 Practice Nurses, a Nurse Associate, 2 HCAs and a phlebotomist. Our nursing team have special interests in Diabetes and Asthma/COPD with their own dedicated nurse-led clinics
An in-house Social Prescriber
A MHICT nurse based at the surgery
A Frailty nurse and a Complex Care Coordinator
A community Midwife
We are an innovative practice with a reputation for providing good patient care and have major links in the local community with an excellent Patient Participation Group.

After the successful candidate has had supervision and training they will be expected to run their own clinics carrying out the following:
- Phlebotomy
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Long term condition reviews
- Assisting with Minor Operations and Sexual Health clinics
There will be other training available once the trainee is comfortable, confident and competent.
Ideally we would like the candidate to work 24 hours per week, Monday, Thursday & Friday.

- C and above in GCSE English and Maths or level 4 and above (or equivalent Adult Literacy and Numeracy).
Desirable
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English, Mathematics, and a Science or Health and Social care based subject
- NVQ level 2
- Care Certificate
Experience

- Experience of working within team, good interpersonal skills, competent on computer systems.
