As a Medical Receptionist you will provide the highest standards of support to our clinical team, practice management and most importantly our patients. This will involve working co-operatively and efficiently with other members of the Administration teams to ensure the smooth running of the service. You will undertake a wide variety of duties including using our clinical system to make appointments, reception duties and various administrative tasks. Our team provides a courteous and respectful service to every patient to meet their individual needs.
Main duties of the job
Working as a Medical Receptionist in the practice requires excellent customer service skills. Experience of call handling in a busy and changing environment is desirable. As a member of the reception team, you will be required to use your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work confidently and in a calm manner when under pressure and dealing with several tasks at once. Confidentiality is key to the role which requires honesty, discretion, and a sympathetic approach.
To use the clinical system you will need a good level of IT literacy. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the use of emails is essential.
