We are seeking to
recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated Salaried GP to join our friendly and
supportive team. We are a 5
GP Partner Practice, and our practice is based
in an excellent, modern built Health Centre, in the centre of Accrington.
We are a large
forward-thinking practice with more than 17,000 patients, who pride
ourselves in delivering high quality care.
Main duties of the job
This is an
excellent opportunity for someone who shares our commitment to delivering high

About us
Our strength
lies in the diversity of skills and professional interests within our team. We
have a multidisciplinary clinical team made up of Doctors, Advanced Nurse
Practitioners, Pharmacists, First Contact Physios, Practice Nurses, Health Care
Assistants, Nurse Associate, Mental Health Practitioner, Health and Wellbeing
Coach and Social Prescribers. The practice benefits from a well-structured
management team which is led by the Practice Operations and Strategic Manager. We
are a training Practice and work closely with our Primary Care Network (PCN)
which is Hyndburn Central. One of our
partners is the PCN Clinical Lead and we have partner representation on the
board of the local Alliance Federation and have representation at LMC.
We have daily huddles which is an informal
opportunity to meet with the team and discuss the day ahead and is much valued
by the team. We have regular practice meetings, with a structured meeting rota
including whole staff meetings, clinical meetings, safeguarding meeting and
protected time for training.

teach - We are a well-respected training practice for GP trainees, Foundation
Doctors and medical students.

The delivery

provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
Generic
prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
Effective
management of long-term conditions
Processing
of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription
requests and other associated administrative tasks
On a
rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor on-call roles
Maintain
accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and
guidance
Work
collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
Adhere
to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
Contribute
to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality
initiatives within the practice
Accept
delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
Attend
and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
Contribute
effective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical
governance and training
Ensure
compliance with the appraisal process
Prepare
and complete the revalidation process
