Job summary
Pendle View Medical Centre are looking for a new Post CCT Fellowship GP to join
our team. We are looking for an newly qualified or experienced GP. We are
willing to consider any number of sessions and offer terms in line with the
current BMA contract. We will fund professional indemnity and agreed training
fees and other such essentials.
We have a growing list size which is currently 7800
patients and we use EMISweb. The practice is based in Brierfield, East Lancashire
with a view of the imposing Pendle Hill and the glorious countryside.
We currently have 4 GP partners and a salaried GP who are
assisted by a Physician Associate. We run an econsult system with clinician
assessment of each request. East Lancashire has an acute home visiting service
making on calls a lot smoother! Pendle View has excellent links with the PCN
and has access to various ARRS roles including a care home team, who support
our clinical work.
We are a training practice for STs, FY2s, medical students
and PAs. We
encourage our staff to develop their roles and expand their clinical knowledge sharing clinical updates on a regular basis.

Main duties of the job
We are delighted to host this Health Education Fellowship which includes 1-2 sessions per week of funded time for education and a bursary of £5000 for educational costs.

You will work alongside our existing team to deliver Primary Care Medical Services including telephone and face to face consultations and associated tasks. Our team includes:
Reception/admin support
Practice/Business Manager
Physician associate
2 Practice nurse
Nurse Associate
3 HCAs
Clinical pharmacist
STs
Salaried GPs
4 Partners
Great links to PCN staff: Care home team, first contact physio, pharmacists, social prescribers, health and wellbeing coach, TAAP, mental health practitioner.

Our salaried GPs undertake a variety of duties including some on call. Sessions will be mutually agreed to allow for work -life balance.
Typical duties would be:
- Face to face and telephone appointments booked at 15 minutes
- Admin associated with clinic
- Assessment of econsult
- Reviewing own lab results with some cross coverage for leave
- Routine prescription authorisation
- Supervision of trainees and opportunity for teaching if desired
- Participation in practice clinical meetings

Pendle View is an established practice with ambitious development plans going into 2023.
