Job summary

We are currently looking to recruit a assistant practice manager on a permanent contract.

The successful candidates will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills as well as a level of competency in Information Technology. Ideally you must be a team player who is adaptable and can demonstrate outstanding communication skills, motivation, initiative, assertive, and a willingness to learn.

About us

Central Park Surgery is an NHS organisation. We have very good and stabile clinical team of 2 partners, 1 salaried GP, nurses and HCA. Our proactive approach is reflected on our achievements and also our engagement in Havering North Primary Care Network. We are currently looking to recruit to the following position on a permanent contract. We have great supportive team, efficient and experienced leadership all working in very pleasant environment.

  • Primary care experience - Experience of working within primary care environment, preferable GP Practice. Experience of working with Clinical system, preferably Emis.
  • Scope to Act - Proven ability to work under own initiative, proactively identity potential challenges and opportunities and prepare actions plans to address them
  • Organisational Skills - Experience of managing staff rotas, preparing reports for senior management, running searches to support contract reporting requirements
  • Role Complexity - Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams and patient engagement
  • Service Development / Implementation - Experience of delivering against work plans as identified by senior management and ability to identify challenges if they occur
  • Communication/Influencing - Experience of working with junior and senior staff and ability to engage with both staff and patients.
  • Experience of managing of difficult situations and complaints management

Desirable

  • Decision Making - Experience of working to an agreed set of targets and work flexibly to adapt to changing demands
  • Knowledge/Capability - Experience of managing staff rotas, preparing reports for senior management, running searches to support contract reporting requirements
  • Budgetary Responsibility - An understanding of effective rota management to ensure delivery of the service within a set budget
  • Staff Management - People management skills with experience in staff appraisal and performance management
