Boughton Health Centre has an
exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our dynamic,
progressive, and supportive practice, working 4 sessions per week. The chosen
candidates will assist in managing a busy and interesting clinical caseload for
our patient population.
Main duties of the job
Our goal is to
provide excellent clinical care to our community. The main responsibility of
the GP will be to manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs
in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for our
entire patient population. We offer structed clinics, including 15 minute
appointments which are a mixture of telephone and face-to-face consultations.
You will be supported by a knowledgeable admin team, and a highly skilled
nursing team. We also have physiotherapy practitioners, first contact
physiotherapists, mental health practitioners, social prescribers, well being
co-ordinators, and clinical pharmacists working in or associated with the
practice.

North Wales. We are a supportive, high-performing practice situated in a modern
purpose-built GP building with a current practice population of practice
population of over 13,000. We are part of a forward thinking and collaborative Primary
Care Network, Chester East delivering successful services including ARRs roles
and shared clinical services.
You will be supported by an experienced
and highly skilled clinical team including 10 GPs, Nursing team consisting
of 2 ANPs, 1 Lead Practice Nurse, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs and 1 Nurse
Associate, Clinical Pharmacists, 2 Paramedics, Musculoskeletal Practitioners,
First Contact Physiotherapists, Mental Health Practitioners, Social Prescribers,
Wellbeing Co-ordinator, and Care Co-ordinator.

Job responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP within Primary Care:
- Provide high quality medical care to patients registered with the practice.
- Provide a full range of services in line with the requirements of the GMS/PMS (17c) Contract and Enhanced Services Contracts.
- In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations including telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, patient test results.
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines.
- On a rotational basis, undertake on-call/duty doctor roles.
- Refer patients as appropriate and in accordance with local guidelines.
- Provide appropriate health promotion advice to all patients.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation;
- Maintain clinical records (manual/electronic) in line with good practice and in accordance with practice procedures including appropriate coding as agreed in the practice.
- Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible);
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.
- Ensure good clinical governance is part of patient care and other practice activities.
- In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, GMC guidance or good medical practice.
- Effective management of Long Term Conditions.
- Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) of specific QOF/IIF Targets.
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required.
- Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure.
- Review and always adhere to practice protocols and policies.
- Support the training of medical students from local Universities and other clinician disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal process, commit to self-learning along with continuing personal professional development.
- Prepare and complete the revalidation process.
