Job summary
The Alexandra medical group is seeking a salaried GP to join our team on 8am-630pm Thursdays and Fridays (4 sessions per week). The post is open to both experienced and newly qualified GPs who are looking to join a friendly and caring team.
Main duties of the job
To treat patients face to face, telephone, video, home visits. To work along side a ever improving team.
The practice has full adopted a total triage method, you will also be asked to triage requests.
About us
We are a medium sized practice with just over 7,500 patients.
The practice has;
3 GP partners, 2 Practice nurses and 1 Phlebotomist.
10 admin staff.
We also have staff proved by the PCN who are fulfilling the ARRS roles.
We like to see ourselves as a small family, we try to support each other through our daily working life and would like welcome a new member.

Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments to determine health status.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring appropriate treatment plans are in place.
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Provide preventive care and health education to patients regarding lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay updated with the latest medical research, clinical practices, and advancements in healthcare.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives as required.
- Engage with patients in various settings, including home care, senior care facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, and public health initiatives.
