This is a new and exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for workforce development and effective project delivery.
The Senior Business Operations Manager will provide oversight across all Sussex Training Hub projects, in line with our commitment to grow and support primary care workforce.
Covering the whole of Sussex, this role is suited to predominantly remote working but with attendance at meetings across Sussex from time to time. The role is likely to be full-time, but requests for flexible working will be considered.
The salary for this role is equivalent to Agenda for Change band 8a.

Main duties of the job
The Senior Business Operations
Managers contributes significantly to the development and implementation
of Sussex Training Hub recruitment and retention projects, and plays a key role
in future planning for the transformation of the Sussex primary care
workforce.
The post holder will work closely with programme
leads across the Sussex Training hub, providing a point of accountability to ensure successful delivery of projects.
The successful applicant will have strong
finance, business analytics and leadership experience.

the Sussex Training Hub team, supporting the delivery of high quality health
care through education, development and support of colleagues in primary
care. The Sussex Training Hub are hosted within NHS Sussex and provide
educational, training and workforce support within Primary Care.

- Understand
the vision and strategic aims for the transformation of the primary care
workforce and how these can be made to work in Sussex
- Work
closely with programme leads across the Sussex Training hub, providing
strategic direction, accountability and support of staff in each case
- Provide a
point of accountability to programme managers, ensuring projects are delivered
on time, maximising value for money, and outcomes and impact are evaluated
- Support
the impact assessment and evaluation of projects and programmes of work,
ensuring measures are set against which the success of the project will be
assessed
- Ensure
robust data collection and analysis is built into all projects with the
flexibility to respond to both scheduled and ad hoc reporting requests.
- Develop
and create statistical reports to recommend management action, both within the
organisation and with colleagues from other partner agencies
- Ensure
sufficient oversight of all projects to enable early recognition of
opportunities for collaboration and alignment
- Demonstrate
and uphold excellent communication with internal colleagues, enabling a better
understanding of current services and acquiring knowledge of future
opportunities
- Track the
current progress of each strategic plan and active project and communicate
progress and plans regularly to the senior management team and Primary Care
Workforce Implementation Group.
- Develop
strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including
identifying opportunities for effective partnership working across health and
social care
- Ensure
appropriate stakeholder engagement has taken place for the successful
achievement of project deliverables, using existing channels of engagement or
creating new channels.
- Provide
the business oversight and risk management to enable creativity and innovation
in Training Hub projects whilst ensuring the financial viability of each.
- Promote
forward thinking, demonstrate an intuitive approach and maintain a high level
of attention to detail and thoroughness.
- As a
member of the Training Hub Senior Leadership Team, deputise for Head of Primary
Care Workforce and Associate Director of Primary Care as required.
