Practice Nurse
Balmore Park Surgery is looking for an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our friendly, progressive practice. Working as part of the nursing team, you will carry out all Treatment Room duties and support the GPs in providing an excellent service to our patients. Practice Nurse Management experience would be desirable, and training can be provided for the right candidate. You should be willing to learn new skills, happy to work as part of a team, flexible in your approach and to provide holiday and sickness cover for other team members.
Hours: 20-30 hours negotiable
Closing date: June 14th 2024
Pay Negotiable
This post provides for five weeks annual leave plus statutory bank holidays pro rata and membership of the NHS pension scheme.

Main duties of the job
**Duties:**
- Deliver exceptional patient care in line with practice protocols and guidelines
- Conduct health assessments and provide advice on health promotion and disease prevention
- Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
**Skills:**
- Proficient in providing patient-centred care with compassion and empathy
- Sound knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and common medical conditions
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
- Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
About us
Balmore Park Surgery is a supportive, training practice consisting of 17 GPs, 8 Nurses, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 2 Paramedics, a Mental Health Practitioner, 2 HCAs and 2 Phlebotomists, in addition to a Pharmacy team consisting of 3 Pharmacists, a Pharmacy tech and a prescriptions clerk
