Wychbury Medical Group is a busy GP practice based
over three surgeries with 21,800 patients.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Healthcare
Assistant to join our nursing team to provide primary care nursing services to
our patients.
Hours are full-time 37.5 per week but we can be
flexible to consider part-time or job share options for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
Applicants should be suitably qualified with Care
Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare (or equivalent) and a good level of
general education.
The postholder should be able to work on their own
initiative but also enjoy being part of a team.
With excellent communication skills, you will bring your previous skills
and experience to undertake the following clinical duties:
- Venepuncture
- Blood pressure recording (including
ambulatory)
- Urinalysis
- Weight management advice
- Assistance with minor surgery as
requested by GP/Practice Nurse
- ECG application and recording
- Ear irrigation
- Simple dressings
- Influenza, pneumonia and shingles
immunisations
- Assisting with Long Term Condition
Clinics
- Assisting with immunisation clinics
- Stocking and maintaining all
consulting rooms
- Accurate recording of results on
computer
- NHS Healthchecks
- B12 injections
- Removal of sutures/clips

room equipment and vaccine supplies
