Job summary
Hillside Practice is looking for a medical secretary to join our existing team, the candidet needs to be a reliable, motivated and flexible team player with excellent communication and IT skills.
This is a challenging role working in a constantly changing environment, the ability to multitask is a necessity.
Previous primary care experience would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
Your role will involve general secretarial duties, whilst assisting and directing patients to appropriate services or health care professionals in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
- Computer data, processing and recording information in accordance with practice policy.
- Be responsible for the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS) process as required by the practice.
- Take responsibility of all medical/insurance forms, reports whilst ensuring consent is provided and recorded.
- Ensure that charges are invoiced appropriately and logged and balanced at the end of each month.
- You will facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary healthcare team, secondary care and other associated agencies.
