An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join us at Chelston Hall Surgery.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated individual to join our forward thinking, dynamic team at Chelston Hall to enhance our team and help us further develop our philosophy of integrated multi-disciplinary working. We are a friendly practice serving the local community. Our list size is approximately 18,500 patients.
Main duties of the job
The primary responsibility is
to answer our patient enquiry line which is based at our Barton site. When the
line is closed there will be other administration duties such as responding to
emails and arranging District Nurse visits. You will also be the lunchtime
cover for the reception desk.
In this role you will be
dealing closely with patients on a daily basis both face to face and over the
telephone and email. We are looking for someone with a confident and patient
focused approach to their work, who is able to problem solve and adapt to change
whilst maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.
About us
The post is for 30 hours per week.

- Excellent computer skills
- A knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Able to work to strict deadlines
- Ability to work accurately and concisely with attention to detail.

- Experience of working in General Practice and knowledge of the organisation and structure of primary and secondary health care is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience of working with the EMIS Web GP system, however training will be given
- A background knowledge of online services or a willingness to learn about these

- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent including English and Maths (A-C grade).
