Job summary
Cant travel abroad this year?
South Waveney is a beautiful rural idyll by the
River Waveney, a stones throw from the Broads and beautiful sandy beaches on
the Norfolk/Suffolk coast. Come join this brilliant network and holiday in the
UK.
South Waveney Primary Care Network is looking to recruit 1.5 WTE Physician Associates to join the multi-disciplinary teams at Beccles and Halesworth. Willing to wait for the right candidates.
Main duties of the job
The PA will provide care for the
presenting patient from initial history taking and clinical assessment through
to the diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate critical
thinking in the clinical decision-making process, including assessment and
diagnostic skills, leading to the delivery of safe care for all patients. They
will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet the needs of the
patients. The PA will provide
a holistic and clinical service, with support from GPs and the wider
multidisciplinary integrated primary care home team, as required, implementing
agreed management plans and following approved protocols as appropriate. The PA
will be expected through a typical week to carry out some home visits and consult
with patients who present on the day and via booked appointments. The PA will
also review and act appropriately on blood results and referrals/correspondence
regarding their patients.
About us
What do you get from us? Encouragement, support and flexibility. The collaborative
Primary Care Network has a penchant for education in many different forms and each
practice is a well-established training environment.
The soft info: The staff are awesome. There are supportive peer groups in place; with reflection
and learning opportunities and Partners who will
encourage you. Everyone's door is always (metaphorically)
open, and we encourage discussion and chat throughout the day.
The small print: There are 5 practices in the network covering a population of
53,200. Beccles is looking for 0.5 WTE, Halesworth is looking for 1 WTE and cross-practice working is available. The network employs a pharmacy team, a social
prescribing team and one physician associate, with more to come. Both practices are fully multidisciplinary, Beccles trains GPs, UEA medical students
and UEA Physician Associates.
