Job summary

St Peter's Hill Surgery is looking for a receptionist to work in our busy town centre practice, within our multi disciplinary team. The successful person will be highly motivated, confident, enthusiastic, can answer telephones in a professional and courteous manner, with excellent communication and administration skills.

  • Greeting patients and visitors on arrival.
  • Assist and direct patients to access the appropriate service or healthcare professional
  • Answering general enquiries

Appointments

  • Process appointment requests from patients by telephone and in person
  • Add patients without internet access to the online triage tool, AskmyGP

Computer

  • Process patients change of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of Practice area.
  • Process repeat prescription requests in accordance with Practice guidelines.

Other Tasks

  • Clear rooms after surgeries
  • Unlock and lock the building as necessary set building security
  • Any other tasks allocated by managers

St Peter's Hill Surgery is a friendly town centre GP practice providing care to 14,500 patients.

Our clinical team consists of 3 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, ANP, paramedic and a well established nursing team, complemented by a friendly and established admin, secretarial and reception team.

We work closely with our primary care network and other organisations who deliver care for our patient population
