Job summary
We are looking for a another Physician Associate to join our dynamic, friendly and supportive GP practice
Ideal candidate would be Physician Associate who acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within general practice. They will work collaboratively with the GP and Nursing team to meet the clinical needs of patients and sustain the strong ethos of the Practice.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate would be an experienced clinician who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the GP and Nursing team to meet the clinical needs of patients and sustain the strong ethos of the Practice.
About us
GP practice with 20,500 patients over two sites (large practice with a small team ethos).
Physician Associate already in practice
MDT also includes GPs, 7 Nurses, 2 Phlebotomists, 4 Practice Pharmacists, MSK practitioner, Mental health Practitioner, Physician Associate, Social prescribers, and a visiting Paramedic.
Whole team recognition and appreciation of PA role within Primary Care
Potential for support to complete non-medical prescribing course.
Training practice with an embedded culture of continual learning and teaching and dedicated supervising doctor.
Daily catch up over coffee at 11.30am.
Whole team meetings every Monday at 1.30pm (with cake).
SystemOne TPP Practice, embraced use of AccuRx. Mix of face to face and telephone/ video appointments.
Monthly joint clinical teaching session with GPs / ANPs/ PA.
CQC good in all areas.
Hours and work pattern can be flexible.
Sociable team who enjoy meeting outside of work to maintain well-being and positive working relationships.
