Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate GP colleague to work in a forward looking, friendly and a teaching practice which includes a team of GP's, pharmacists, a social prescribing link worker, Paramedic Practitioners , Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Admin team.

As a GP, you work with the team to manage a busy, interesting clinical caseload ensuring the highest standard of care for all registered and temporary patients. The post holder will carry out all the duties reasonably expected of an NHS general practitioner using the standards expected by the GMC

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

To provide general practice consultations to patients and, where appropriate, physical examinations for the purposes of identifying or reducing the risk of disease or injury.

To uphold the principles of good medical practice as stated in the GMC statement of professional values and responsibilities:

  • Make the care of your patient your first concern.
  • Provide a good standard of practice and care.
  • Keep your professional knowledge and skills up to date.
  • Recognise and work within the limits of your competence.

We are friendly, forward-looking practice with 6 Partners, Salaried GP's, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, HCA's, supported by our Care Navigators / Signpost and Administrative Team. We as a Practice are proud to have pioneered number of quality improvement programmes which has been recognized locally , regionally as well as nationally. These programme have helped us improve the outcomes for our patients but also work life balance for our colleagues .

We as a practice will encourage you to take part in QI projects as well as if you like apply for Clinical fellowships, so that you can broaden your horizons. We have colleagues who have won national awards for the QI improvement programme - They can help and guide you if you so wish .

At same time we are a teaching practice , and in near future if you would like to support our future trainees by becoming trainer, we would support you with that .

We work with a moto of 'all for one and one for all' , that has helped us to not only look after each other but also look after our patients better.

The Practice is currently looking to recruit a friendly, enthusiastic and hard-working GP to join our team. You will work with the practice team to meet the needs of patients, nurses and GPs following policies.

The role itself involves being a (Doctor) Salaried GP at our practice. You will be required to work as an autonomous practitioner and be responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering excellent clinical care.

In particular, you must adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contribute to effective management and processes within the practice, show leadership skills as well as maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team. You will be involved in routine clinics and taking part in the duty doctor rota.

We have a skilled team of clinicians including doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, GPA's and health care assistants. We have a skilled administrative team who support clinicians by arranging referrals, organising workflow of tasks and phone calls, which allows time to focus on patient care.

Apart from this, we pride ourselves on having an open door policy- any issues can be discussed at the time you need to with any member of staff.
