Practice Nurse

Job summary

Due to planned retirement, we have an exciting opportunity at Sandwich Medical Practice for an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly team. It would be preferable if the successful applicant has an interest in diabetes.

We are willing to consider part time or up to full time hours and job share positions. Minimum 22 hours.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will work alongside the rest of the nursing team, assisting in the care of practice patients, to include treatment, preventative care, screening and patient education.

About us

We are a well established semi-rural practice based in the beautiful medieval town of Sandwich with a list size of 13,000 patients. We work from modern purpose built premises which have recently been extended. We are a training practice and support the local medical school with student placements.

We are part of the Deal & Sandwich PCN.

As a practice we work very closely as a team. Our ethos is to help and support each other so that each clinician has the time to develop their interests.

Our clinical team comprises of 3 Partners, 6 Salaried GPs, 3 Advanced Clinical Practitioners, 4 Practice Nurses, 3 Health Care Assistants and a Phlebotomist.

We will support and encourage the successful applicant to develop their primary care skills and are happy to consider newly qualified nurses.

We meet regularly to discuss clinical issues, share ideas, and contribute to the growth and advancement of the practice.
