Job summary
We are a very
friendly, efficient village practice in the Lincolnshire Wolds, seeking a Salaried GP,
full or part time, with a view to partnership (if desired) down the line.
We are a part-dispensing 5.25
FTE GP Partner Practice, who pride ourselves in teamwork and treat our staff like
family. Accordingly, we have a very low staff turnover rate. The team cares for a Practice population which is just under 10,000 providing our services from two branches (North Thoresby and Holton-le-Clay).
Each partner has a specialist interest and we would consider and encourage any interests
in the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
Our motto at
North Thoresby is: The patient comes first.
Your job
responsibilities would include 8 Clinical sessions for a full-time position. One day each week would be as duty doctor, which would include home visits on that day. You would be responsible for your own administrative
work, helping others when they are on leave. You would be invited to attend weekly clinical and business meetings.
We are
looking for a knowledgeable, hardworking, innovative candidate with great team
working skills. We are more than happy to mentor recently qualified GPs building
your confidence. Pursuing new skills is welcomed.
We can offer
you medical indemnity, six weeks of annual leave, and one week of study leave per year and CPD time. We follow the BMA Contract for employment.

Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, Musculoskeletal Practitioner, Mental
Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist and a team of Community Nurses, Macmillan
and Marie Curie Nurses.
Our backbone
is our amazing non-clinical team of managers and administrative staff.

dispensary, based at North Thoresby, is run by our efficient team of dispensers.

the East Lindsey Primary Care Network, which is a proactive, innovative team,
helping us cater to our patients effectively.
We have an
active LMC and supportive ICB and good secondary and tertiary care network.
Lincolnshire
Wolds is one of the prettiest areas to live in. It's not over-crowded, house prices are very reasonable and there are several very popular primary and secondary schools, both
state run, Grammar and private.
Historic
market towns of Louth and Market Rasen will be at your doorstep with larger towns and cities, such as Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Lincoln nearby. Additionally, Nottingham, Sheffield, Hull, Leeds and York are all within a 2-hour drive away. You will be spoilt for cycling and walking in the Wolds. Fresh fish
from Grimsby docks and the sandy beaches of Cleethorpes and the Lincolnshire coast will add to your quality of
life.

Clinical Responsibilities to include:
- In
accordance with the practice timetable, the post-holder will make him/her-self
available to undertake a variety of duties including: face to face consultations,
telephone consultations, carry out home visits as required, assist staff and patients with clinical or prescribing queries, checking and
signing repeat prescriptions, managing investigation results and completing paperwork and
correspondence in a timely fashion.
- To produce
and comply with a work plan developed in partnership with the Practice Manager
and Partners to ensure all Practice and other work is delivered appropriately
and safely.
- Participate
in activities required to assess compliance with the CQC Fundamental Standards
- To provide
any services as required for the Primary Care Network agreement including
shared QOF standards and service specifications.
- To provide
high-quality medical services in the context of General Practice to the patients registered with The North Thoresby Practice.
- To provide
appropriate care and services to patients in all age ranges and with all levels of
health care needs
- To respond
to medical/health problems presented by patients on the Practice register, including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as
appropriate.
- To read and
interpret test requests and results ordered by you and other team members, taking appropriate action based on the findings.
- To carry out
appropriate administrative and other duties in line with the needs of the Practice
including referral to other services and maintenance of records.
- To maintain
clinical records either written or computer based in line with professional
code and requirements utilising appropriate coding.
- To work in-line with appropriate Practice policies and procedures including human
resources, safeguarding children etc.
- You will have access to confidential information
relating to North Thoresby patients. You are required to exercise due
consideration in processing such information and you should maintain
confidentiality for patients.
