Job summary

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our nursing team on a full time basis. Experience of working in a GP practice is ideally needed with a mixture of treatment room skills and chronic disease management.

We currently open 8.30-6.30 5 days a week, Hours and days worked are negotiable. Pay according to experience, NHS pension scheme, free parking and very close to bus routes.

Main duties of the job

Registered Nurse with a valid NMC number essential

Previous treatment room skills such as wound care management, cytology, childhood immunisation, travel vaccines, ECGs and ear syringing.

Ideally experience in managing long term conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes and COPD.

Must have a good knowledge of infection prevention.

About us

Saltdean & Rottingdean Medical Practice has approx 125,00 patients and it based on the outskirts of Brighton in Saltdean. The practice is based in a purpose built surgery looking out over sea views.

We currently have 5 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs along with a mix of Pharmacists, ANP and a Paramedic.

Our nursing team consists of 3 Practice Nurses, a Nursing Associate, HCA and Phlebotomist, we also have a Social Prescriber, Physiotherapists and a Mental Health Team assigned to the practice. Along with a large friendly admin team.
