Job summary
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Medical Secretary to join the secretarial team. The practices provide services for a diverse population; therefore, it is essential that you are able to communicate sensitively and effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and those whose first language may not be English.

Main duties of the job
Duties will include performing the provision of clerical support to doctors, Practice Admin Manager, and nursing staff in relation to referrals, requests for information and access to medical records and to plan and co-ordinate meetings and associated documentation actioning referrals to services in a timely manner. You should ideally have an understanding of the General Practice environment and excellent communication skills. A good standard of general education, together with IT skills and the ability to work under pressure.
