PCN Pharmacy Technician

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Pharmacy Technicians to join our Primary Care Network. The Pharmacy Technician will work alongside the PCN Clinical Pharmacist and other members of our PCN and practice multi-disciplinary team.

It is a requirement of the role to be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Society and have a BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences.

The ideal candidate must have a flexible can do attitude with a passion for clinical excellence and an ability to work well within a team. This is an interesting and challenging role, pivotal to the patient care and is likely to develop as the PCN matures.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and this role involves provision of technical support for the pharmacy service to ensure professional operational standards and excellence in pharmaceutical care and safety are maintained.

The Pharmacy technicians core role responsibilities will cover clinical, and technical and administrative categories.

The role will support the practices within SASSE2 PCN to deliver the PCN DES and IIF related projects.

The post holder will be supported by the PCN Senior Clinical Pharmacist. and will be employed by NICS on behalf of SASSE2 PCN.
