Main duties of the job
- No weekends and no evenings after 18:30
- 15 min commute from South Sheffield.
- Your own Room.
- 3 Nurse Practitioners do the majority of the home visits.
- Salaried GPs treated equally with partners in terms of patients seen, paperwork and patient list size.
- we have a strong team bond where we provide mutual support and
encouragement by meeting up of all GP's , ANP's & Registrars daily during
lunchtime to discuss clinical cases and share their views.
- High QOF achievers
- Home visits mostly done by Nurse practitioners.
- Pharmacy next door with helpful pharmacist.
- Rated CQC good.

About the practice:
We are an approachable, innovative, progressive, and diverse
team based in the heart of Chesterfield.
Our Team comprises of 5 Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, 3 Nurse
Practitioners, Practice nurses and HCA.
We also have an amazing administration and management team
who will go out of their way to help and have an open-door policy.
We believe in progression, education and focus on training
GP registrars, Medical Students and nurses, which leads to a very approachable
and complementary surrounding at the practice.
We have a passion for training and are a training practice for GP Registrars', medical students, nurses . We are also involved in training community pharmacist primary care education pathway.
We understand General Practice can be stressful and try our

Salaried
General Practitioner, 6 sessions per week
Usual Working Days Tuesday, thursday and Friday
Normal Morning
AM surgery: Start at 8:00 am, telephone
& Face to Face patient appointments.
Followed by
any paperwork and share of home visits
Normal Afternoon Surgery
PM surgery:
Start at 2.30 pm, telephone & Face to Face
patient appointments.
Followed by
any paperwork
Starting times can be negotiated if
needed.
You will be required to take your
share of On Call shifts. Note: There is usually 1 On Call doctor and a Back
Up On Call Doctor on duty at a time.
On Call Mornings
(8am 1pm)
Surgery: Telephone
& Face to Face appointments to include any emergency / walk-in
appointments.
Followed by
any paperwork and emergency visits
On Call
Afternoons (1pm 6.30pm)
Surgery: Telephone
& Face to Face Appointments to include any emergency / walk-in
appointments.
Followed by
any paperwork and emergency visits
Extended Hours
Mornings 4 x
15 minute appointments between 7am 8am
You
will normally be expected to take one extended hours session per week and
should be prepared to contribute to the number of extended hours sessions the
surgery is contracted to provide if there is a shortage.
Patient List
You will
adopt a full patient list (Pro-rata) as per a salaried GPs share from your
start date with the practice and complete all NHS and Non-NHS paperwork
associated with these patients (payment for this paperwork is to be retained by
the practice).
Cover
You will be
expected to take your share of cover for absent doctors re: on call surgeries,
paperwork, extended hours surgeries and other duties as requested by the
Partners and Practice Manager
