Job summary
To work
as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical
services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of
clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the
post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice,
contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example,
maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the
multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
On a rotational basis, undertake duty doctor roles
Offer and carry out consultations and, where appropriate, physical examinations for the purpose of identifying and reducing the risk of illness, disease or injury. Within the practice, over the telephone, video consultations, electronic consultations, in patient’s homes and within the nursing and residential homes supported by the practice.
Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
Ensure compliance with the appraisal process & prepare and complete the revalidation process

We have an exciting opportunity to welcome a Salaried GP to join our ever-growing, forward-thinking practice. We pride ourselves on providing high quality general practice services to c.10,700 patients in, and around Alsager.
The team consists of; 5 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GPs, 1 Managing Partner, 1 Clinical Care Practitioner, 1x ANP, 2x Musculoskeletal Care Practitioner, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 HCA and Social Prescribers. The team is supported by a hard‐working and friendly reception and secretarial team. We are an accredited training practice - GP-training, FY2 and medical students on placement.
