Job summary
We are looking for 2 highly motivated, experienced, dispensers (NVQ3 qualified) ACT, to join the team at our busy independent, GP owned, community pharmacy (Leven Pharmacy), located in the village of Leven in East Yorkshire. Leven is only 6 miles from Beverley, 9.5 miles from Driffield and 12 miles from Hull.
Main duties to include: labelling, dispensing , helping patients on the phone, liaising with surgeries and other general tasks necessary to maintain the smooth running of the pharmacy. A qualified ACT would play an important in supporting the pharmacist manager in ensuring the smooth running of the pharmacy and the delivery of enhanced services.
You will need to be capable of working under pressure as part of a team dedicated to providing the best possible pharmacy service to the local community.
Full time hours of 37 hours per week, working 5 days per week, with occasional Saturdays as holiday cover.

items that have been clinically checked by a Pharmacist, including monitored

To comply with legal and
professional requirements
To identify medicine related
problems or queries and bring these to the attention of the Pharmacist.
Ordering medicines, labelling,
dispensing in accordance with SOPs and endorsing prescriptions.
To respond to telephone and face
to face queries of a pharmaceutical nature and refer queries to the Pharmacist
when appropriate.
To liaise with other healthcare
professionals
To assist with the preparation of
Monitored Dosage Systems
To maintain an up to date
knowledge of pharmaceutical matters by complying with Continuous Professional
Development (CPD) requirements.
