Job summary

Higham Ferrer's Surgery is a friendly, supportive, semi rural village practice with approximately 6,000 patients.

Main duties of the job

We are currently looking to recruit 2 part time enthusiastic and motivated Admin/Receptionist to join our team on a part time contract.

About us

The clinical team currently consists of 2 GP partners, 1 salaried GP, a Clinical Pharmacist, 3 Registrar's, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 staff nurse, and a health care assistant. We also have an experienced and supportive Management and Administrative team.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Reception Duties- Front of House. Taking Queries and answering the phones.
  • Admin Duties- Coding, Recalling, Scanning as per the business needs
  • Opening up/locking up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols
  • Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system
  • Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations, and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional
  • Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail
  • Taking messages and passing on information
  • Filing and retrieving paperwork
  • Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines
  • Computer data entry
  • Ordering, re-ordering and monitoring of stationery and other supplies
  • Summarizing patient notes
