Job summary

AUDLEM MEDICAL PRACTICE - We are a 5100 patient rural practice based in the traditional Cheshire village of Audlem. We are looking for a part-time GP to work Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to support our current clinical team of 3 GP partners, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 Nurse Prescriber, and 1 Nurse Associate. We have embraced the ARRS scheme with a Social Prescriber, Physiotherapist, Pharmacist and Care Co-Ordinator working with an extended administration team to reduce the load on clinicians. We are a training practice and also host Keele University Medical Students.

We are a friendly team and value all our staff and their well-being. We support and encourage personal and practice development to improve both the care we deliver and our working lives. We score highly on the national GP survey and having patients that are happy with the service we provide helps us all feel good about what we do.

We have a monthly practice meeting and development session, regular clinical meetings and perhaps more importantly we promote an equal, informed, and enjoyable working environment, including shared lunchtimes in the staff room.

We have excellent staff retention, and we are looking for somebody who wants to develop their career and deliver excellent care.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Salaried GP, either experienced or newly qualified who is happy to work 3/4 days a week (4 - 7 sessions) we would need the successful applicant to deal with patients, both via the telephone and face to face, deal with prescriptions, look at clinical paperwork (our admin team operate a document management system, so only documents essential for a GP to see are sent through) deal with lab reports, referrals and all other administrative duties that GPs undertake.

About us

We are friendly team and value all the workforce and their wellbeing. We offer clinical support via a team approach and encourage personal development.

We score highly on the national GP survey and feel that our patients are happy with the service we provide.

We do an annual Practice away day which the staff really enjoy and we have low staff turnover. We have regular Practice and Clinical team meetings and catch up every day at lunchtimes. This significantly aids continuity of care for patients as well as supporting staff members whether that is administrative or clinical. Its also an opportunity to get to know the rest of the team on a personal level and the practice team really enjoy this time.
