Job summary

Bramley Village Health and Wellbeing Centre is looking to recruit a full time Lead Practice Nurse to be based across our 3 Leeds sites. The surgery is looking to build a fresh and enthusiastic nursing team who are committed to working alongside our other nursing teams across the country to achieve outstanding patient care.

Main duties of the job

The Lead Nurse is a pivotal figure in steering the nursing team towards excellence in patient care. This role encompasses the oversight of clinical nursing practices, enhancing nursing protocols, and leading quality improvement initiatives across the practice. The Lead Nurse is responsible for the management, development, and leadership of the nursing service, ensuring that it meets contemporary standards and delivers effective outcomes for patients.

This position requires a combination of clinical expertise and managerial acumen to effectively coordinate the nursing team's activities. The Lead Nurse will liaise with other healthcare professionals to integrate nursing with broader healthcare operations, advocating for high standards in patient safety and care quality. The role involves substantial patient interaction, clinical duties, and administrative oversight, providing a comprehensive, patient-centred approach to nursing within the practice. The Lead Nurse was also ensure adherence to infection control and cold chain standards.

About us

The Fuller and Forbes Partnership is a primary care provider with practices currently in Leeds, Devon, Burnley and Gateshead. The Leeds based practices provide care to 16,600 patients across Leeds at locations in Bramley, Middleton and Cottingley. The surgery is made up of a diversified clinical team consisting of GP's, ANPs, ACPs, and a nursing team, with clinical supervision and mentorship by GPs to medical students.

The organisation is patient-driven and has used patient feedback in the past to develop innovative services such as a bespoke smart phone app, patient-centred practice websites, joint working with the third sector and a bespoke e-consultation service.

Patient Care:

Specialist Practice Nursing: Provide direct patient care using specialist nursing skills, particularly in chronic disease management, emergency care, and preventative measures.

Health Promotion: Lead health promotion initiatives, educating patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
