Job responsibilities

Data Management and Quality Control

  • Recall Systems Management Develop, implement, and maintain efficient recall systems to ensure patients are timely notified for follow-ups, screenings, or treatments, enhancing patient care continuity.

Data Integrity Audits

  • Conduct comprehensive data quality audits across all practice data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability. Identify issues, suggest improvements, and monitor the resolution of data quality discrepancies.

Policy Development and Implementation

  • Formulate and enforce robust data management policies that comply with GDPR and other regulatory standards. Ensure these policies enhance data security and patient confidentiality.

Compliance and Security

  • GDPR Compliance, Oversee and ensure all practice data handling and processing complies with GDPR regulations. Implement safeguarding measures to protect patient information against unauthorized access and breaches.
  • Data Security Initiatives Develop and coordinate security initiatives to protect data integrity. Work with IT to implement effective cybersecurity measures and resolve potential security vulnerabilities.

Training and Support

  • Provide ongoing training and support to all practice staff on data protection laws, compliance requirements, and best practices in data handling and security.

Collaborative Responsibilities

  • Interdepartmental Collaboration, Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to streamline data collection and sharing processes. Ensure seamless integration of data practices across the practice.
  • Reporting and Documentation, Maintain meticulous records of data processes, audits, and compliance measures. Prepare detailed reports on data quality and security for the Practice Manager and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Stakeholder Engagement, Engage with external stakeholders including regulatory authorities and technology providers to stay updated on new data management technologies and compliance regulations.

Quality Improvement

  • Continuous Improvement, Lead quality improvement initiatives related to data management. Utilise feedback from data quality audits to make informed decisions on enhancing data systems and processes.
  • Performance Metrics, Establish and monitor performance metrics for data management activities to evaluate success rates and identify areas for improvement.

Miscellaneous

eConsultations, Process eConsultations received if required.

Any other administrative work as required.
