Are you a quakified Nursing Associate and looking for an exciting opportunity to help build and deliver Nursing services across three growing GP Surgeries in Leeds?

If this appeals to you, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursing Associate to work alongside our growing multidisciplinary team of GPs, ANPs, PNs, and HCAs.

Main duties of the job

The postholder, will require to be a Nursing Associate and will perform a wide variety of duties whilst receiving further training and supervision from our Practice Nurses.

Main duties:

  • To assist and perform routine nursing tasks related to patient care, such as routine BP checks, weight and height measurements, blood tests and record blood sugar levels, pulse and temperature recordings, ECG,BMI and lifestyle advice.
  • To assist and perform routine treatment room duties in line with competency e.g. suture/clip removal, basic wound care, phlebotomy, urinalysis, and the taking and preparing of pathology samples.
  • Administering of medication, where necessary, in accordance with regulatory guidelines and PSD (Such as B12).
  • With appropriate training, to undertake cervical sample taking as per national guidance.

  • With appropriate training, to undertake support immunisation programmes, including childhood immunisations and adult programmes.

  • To support chronic disease management (with appropriate training) including monitoring patients with stable asthma and undertake preliminary investigations for Type 2 diabetes patients, such as foot checks and their continued management.

Currently our team has around 35 clinical and non-clinical staff members. Our clinical team comprises GPs, ANPs, Practice Nurses, HCAs, and PCN staff. Our non-clinical team provide management, administration, and reception services to our ever-growing patient population.

  • Provide healthy lifestyle advice regarding diet/exercise/smoking.
