and dedicated Practice Nurse to work alongside our current multidisciplinary
team of GPs, ANPs, PNs, and HCAs.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will perform a wide variety of duties including:
- Routine nursing care including dressings, vaccinations and immunisations, and cytology.
- Specialist nursing care including chronic disease management and sexual health.
- Supporting infection prevention and control
- Supporting cold chain compliancy
- Providing support to Healthcare Assistants in their role
About us
We
are a friendly GP Surgery on three sites in Leeds. Our main surgery, Bramley
Village Health, and Wellbeing Centre is located near Bramley Town Centre in
Leeds West. The post holder will work primarily from this site serving our 7000
patients. However, support will also be needed at our two branch surgeries located in South Leeds: Middleton Park GP Surgery
and Cottingley GP surgery, serving a population of 6,000 and 2,000 patients,
respectively.
We
have a team of around 30 clinical and non-clinical staff members. Our clinical
team comprises GPs, ANPs, Practice Nurses, HCAs, and PCN staff. Our non-clinical
team provide management, administration, and reception services.

- Vaccinations and immunisations
- Wound care / doppler / suture removal
- Sexual health planning
- Cytology
- Support the ordering and storage of stock
- Support adherence to infection prevention and control
- Ensure nursing equipment are checked regularly and maintained
- Other duties as required

- Qualified in cervical screening.
- Qualified in vaccinations and immunisations.
- Qualified in venepuncture and electrocardiography.
Desirable
- Independent prescribing qualification.
Experience

- Ability to multitask.
- Planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Previous experience in delivering chronic disease management, cytology, vaccinations and immunisations, and treatment room nursing.
- Previous experience in overseeing infection control systems to achieve compliancy.
- Experienced in maintaining cold chain compliancy.
