Nunwell Surgery require an enthusiastic and friendly GP to
join our Practice to cover maternity leave.
Situated in a
delightful market town with excellent transport links to Hereford, Worcester
and Malvern, a supportive ethos runs throughout the practice and helps us
maintain our established and loyal team.
Four sessions per week on Mondays and Tuesdays
From December 2024 to end September 2025

Main duties of the job
The postholder will undertake a variety of duties commensurate with the post of General Practitioner including, but not limited to, triage; telephone and face to face consultations and queries; visiting patients at home and in the community hospital; checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries; and handling results, correspondence and associated administrative tasks in a timely fashion (paper based, electronic).
About us
We are looking for a motivated GP to undertake the full range of duties to cover a maternity leave from December 2024 until September 2025..
In addition to the full range of duties commensurate with a GP, we offer chronic disease management clinics and have an excellent nursing, pharmacy and healthcare team who lead on this as well as enhanced services including minor surgery and sexual health.
We have a successful dispensary with experienced staff and led by our in-house Pharmacist providing support and advice to patients and clinicians.
We are high QOF achievers, using EMIS Web, a dispensing and training practice, member of local GP federation, and welcome any specialist interests.

Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting
problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers
within the organisation
Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and
undiagnosed problems
Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line
with current practice disease management protocols
Provide counselling and health education.
Adhere to the clinical governance requirements of the practice
Adhere to the information governance and information management
requirements of the practice including the Quality and Outcomes Framework.
Participate in and comply with the commissioning requirements of the
practice
Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing guidelines
Attend clinical meetings/other meetings as required
Undertake other appropriate duties agreed between the practice and the
employee.
In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal
duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
