Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

We are seeking a dynamic, ambitious individual with a previous experience in General Practice to join our team as clinical performance assistant manager. This is an exciting new role we are introducing during a time of significant change and progression at the practice. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and proactive problem-solving skills. Strong GP IT proficiency and experience with searches is essential, as the role requires navigating various digital tools to monitor clinical performance.

The clinical performance assistant manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring all clinical services in compliance with national and local directives to deliver high-quality, evidence-based primary care and excellent patient experience. Where appropriate, the holder of this role will work collaboratively with the Operations Assistant Manager on practice management issues.

The role would potentially suit someone working towards a practice manager role in the future.

Main duties of the job

The candidate will work alongside the assistant operations manager to lead and manage a portolio of areas at the practice including long term condition management, QOF, CQRS searches and to keep accurate databases of such areas and monitor income streams. The role will also have HR, finance, IT, health and safety and clinical governance responsibilities. The role will involve some external facing work including linking in with the PCN.

About us

Killick Street Health Centre is a stone's throw from Kings Cross station and serves a diverse population of 13000 patients. We pride ourselves on high quality, patient-centred care. We have big clinical and administrative teams that work alongside each other in a friendly and open-door way. The practice is led by 6 partners (5 GPs and a pharmacist). Following the recent retirement of our long-serving practice manager, we are undergoing an innovative re-organisation of the management of the practice. Our Pharmacist Partner holds an executive manager role and all partners have lead area responsibilities. The Clinical Performance Assistant Manager will work alongside our new Operations Assistant Manager to run the practice day-to-day. We also have in our team a finance manager and clinical coder.

We are active participants in our PCN (with 6 other practices) and a member of Islington GP Federation.
