Job summary
We are looking to recruit a new Reception Supervisor to be
part of our large reception team of 16.
The role of a supervisor is to be the first point of contact
for patients contacting the surgery and to support the reception team in the
day to day running of the reception function. The supervisor will deal with
escalated issue, more complex enquires and will also be the point of contact
between the clinical and reception team.
The supervisor must present a caring, welcoming, and
professional demeanour at all times.
You will be supported in this role by the Lead Supervisor
and Operations Manager.
Working pattern:
37.5hrs per week over 4 days made up of:3 x 8am-6.30pm, 1 x 8am-4pm, 1 x day off each week.
You will expected to work across all three of our sites.
Please note, due to the nature of this role, home working is not available.
Main duties of the job
You will be professional and efficient and be able to work
under pressure at all times, welcoming patients and visitors to the practice in
a friendly and professional manner. Working as part of a large reception team,
you will be required to deal with patients both face to face and over the
telephone ensuring a high level of patient care is maintained at all times.

Heaton with branch surgeries at Haworth Rd, Heaton and Wrose Rd, Wrose.

- Answering calls, booking appointments and dealing with
enquires
- Speaking to and resolving escalated patient concerns and
escalating to the operations manager as needed
- Supporting, training and coaching the reception team
- Managing reception rota on a day to day basis
- Assist the duty doctor will managing patient flow
- Assigning tests to clinicians
- Allocating home visits
- Amending and checking clinical rotas to support service
delivery
- Supporting the Practice with urgent tasks
- Working with the operations manager to improve reception
process
- Equipment management
- Clinical room allocation
- Premises maintenance and repair (reporting and arranging)
- Follow Practice policies and procedures
- Any other reasonable task
