This is a leadership role in our innovative, patient-focused GP practice. Our 'digital first' approach has streamlined much of our workflow, with patients enjoying direct, efficient and responsive primary care. About Us

Jesmond Health Partnership is a patient focused, forward-thinking medical practice in Newcastle. We were formed in April 2019 after the merger of The Surgery and Holly Medical Group. We operate across two sites on Osborne Road in Jesmond.

Jesmond Health Partnership comprises of 3 GP partners, 6 salaried GPs, an experienced Nursing team including Nurse Practitioners, and knowledgeable and enthusiastic Reception and Administration teams.

We are a training practice and currently host GP Trainee's, F2s and 3rd year medical students.

Jesmond Health Partnership has a registered population list of over 13,000 patients, predominantly covering Jesmond, Gosforth and Heaton. We are a Linked Practice for 5 Care Homes in and around Jesmond with a population that could eventually cover 170 residents. We have a particularly diverse patient population covering all age groups.

We have a track record of innovation. We were a founding practice of the Pharmacy Hub, and we are the only practice in Newcastle utilising Salvie/AskMyGP as a digital platform for consulting with patients. It has helped us to provide safe and effective care during the pandemic with 85% of all patient contact comes via the platform, and well over 95% of patients leaving positive feedback about Salvie.

To supervise the performance and day-to-day management of the practice nursing team, including resources and equipment. Prioritising and allocating work to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the nursing team function. To instruct the team and deal with staff queries on a day-to-day basis. To maintain up to date knowledge of clinical governance requirements and guidelines, updating, developing and implementing practice protocols and procedures accordingly.

The post-holder will work closely with, and under the direction of, the practice and operations managers to improve standards across a wide range of organisational activities. The position is challenging and suitable for someone who wishes to demonstrate initiative with a desire to develop their own skills further, especially in context of the practice digital first approach and proactive participation in a wider practice network and community multidisciplinary teams.

Working in accordance with the UKCC Code of Conduct, the post-holder will provide assessment, treatment, screening, health education services and advice to patients.
