Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and efficient Medical Summariser to join our administrative team. Experience as a medical coder and summariser in a medical field is essential, as is being proficient in EMIS Web.
Main duties of the job
- Ensure that medical records are accurate and up to date, processing/coding daily medical communications using Docman
- Summarising incoming medical records efficiently according to Practice protocols, reviewing GP2GP transfers and degraded allergy entries
- Ensure that the records comply with legal, regulatory and ethical requirements, working strictly in accordance with the Notes Summarising Protocol.
- Monitoring progress of notes summarising against practice targets, distribution of urgent and non-urgent documents and letters to clinicians will form part for the role in addition to basic administration work such as filing and retrieving paperwork
- Coding breast cancer screening reports, bowel cancer screening, diabetic checks and lab results
- Coding vaccination data from pharmacists, schools and other sources

Our list size is approximately 9,000 patients covered by 10 GPs, a nursing team and ARRS staff including Physicians Associates, Pharmacists, Social Prescribers all supported by our administrative staff. We are based in modern purpose built premises with good transport links in Kentish Town. We are family friendly employers and happy to consider flexible hours.
