Job summary

CQC Outstanding GP Practice looking for part-time practice nurse Excellent remuneration up to 44k depending on experience. Woodgrange Medical Practice is a well organised, efficient Practice, with a list size of 16000 and growing. We are based in a spacious converted bank, which has had several extensions to provide a comfortable and modern clinical environment. There are excellent transport links and we are close to the Olympic Park and Westfield shopping Centre. We have a strong ethos of teaching and training and have two GP Registrar's and regular medical students. We have trained a Nurse Practitioner, Practice nurse, Independent prescriber Pharmacist.

Main duties of the job

To deliver appropriate treatment, screening and advice within the professional competence of the post-holder to the practice population To develop and manage care programmes for individual patients within specific groups To lead in the development of quality and audit initiatives To work within the NMC Code of Conduct To assist in the provision of care to patients with chronic diseases To undertake preventative screening Participate in Quality Outcome Framework (QOF) and Extended Primary Care Service objectives Perform searches and audits Prepare for CQC inspections

Qualifications

Essential

  • 1st level registration with more than 2 years relevant post basic experience and relevant post basic qualification.
  • PN Specialist Nurse qualification
  • BSc or working towards it

Desirable

  • Womens health including cytology (ENB 901/8103)
  • Independent/Supplementary prescriber (or will to work towards it)
  • ENB 998/Mentorship or equivalent teaching experience/qualification
  • Undertaken Practice Nurse training
  • Able to show further professional development

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in clinical audit
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Personally organised, thorough and methodical

Desirable

  • Experience in operating a recall system in general practice.
