Job summary

6 - 8 sessions Salaried to Partner GP Prestige Medical Group

We would encourage informal engagement for candidates to understand how our current staff find working with us.

What are we looking for?

We are replacing a retiring Partner and looking for a minimum 6, maximum 8 session GP to add value and dynamism in a fully supportive environment.

The offer is for a yearlong fixed term contract of mutual assessment leading to Partnership for the right individual.

You will contribute immediately as a Partner and be included within all Partnership meetings and decisions. This will ensure a comprehensive understanding and practical experience of the wide-ranging demands of Partnership.

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to undertake all the typical duties and responsibilities associated with a GP in primary care.

Additionally, acting as a Partner, you will contribute, actively participate in weekly management meetings, and take the lead in clinical areas (Areas to be agreed in relation to organisational needs and new Partner interests). One session a week is allocated to Leadership roles and partner responsibilities.

Following the Practice timetable, the post-holder will undertake various duties, including surgery consultations, telephone/video consultations, queries, and related paperwork and reports.

There is an additional shared partnership responsibility in the daily role of Supervising GP. Instead of a routine session, this role serves as the single point of contact for all questions from across the practice team (GP colleagues, ACP Acute service, Nursing team, reception, and admin). It also includes visits and oversight of the GP trainees.

The right candidate will bring:

A desire to contribute to the care of our patient cohort.

A willingness to add specific value to the Partnership.

A flexible, respectful, and inclusive decision-making approach to achieving collective Partnership directions and outcomes.

An ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Good organisational skills

Time management skills

An ability to work under pressure

An ability to work on own initiative

IT skills

A commitment to quality and patient satisfaction

Team working skills
