Job summary
Due to a departure from our clinical team we have a 25 hour per week Health Care assistant opporunity at Derby Road HEalth Centre
Derby Road is a long established training practice with a list size in excess of 12,000 patients. The HCA role benefits from nurse and phlebotomy support and the support of an experienced clinical and admin practice team.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated HCA to join us to support Derby Road in continuing to provide an excellent healthcare experience for all of our patients.
Main duties of the job
- Phlebotomy
- Hypertension monitoring
- Diabetic foot checks
- New patient health checks
- NHS health checks
- Assist with the seasonal influenza, pneumococcal clinics
- Health promotion clinics
- Knowledge of emergency drugs; policies and procedures
- Participate in QOF & CQC
- Annual reviews for QOF
- Sending patients for annual blood tests for dementia / diabetes etc
- Attend PLTs
- Related clinical administration
- Any other duties within your remit as deemed necessary by your line manger
- Undertake Dementia reviews
- Make appointments for Cancer reviews with the Cancer specialist
