Clinical Manager

Job summary

The Clinical Manager is responsible for the administrative and medical tasks to ensure smooth running and integration of clinical teams ensuring Green Valleys Health provide excellent patient care.

Main duties of the job

• Oversee daily Clinical Operations
• Assist the Managing Partner & Deputy Practice Manager with the clinical budget & income streams.
• In conjunction with Deputy PM & Lead Nurse recruit new nursing team employees.
• In conjunction with Deputy PM & Partners recruit new salaried GPs.
• Induction of new clinical staff & appraisal process in line with Green Valleys Health process.
• Responsible for ensuring clinical procedures are implemented making sure staff are aware of any changes.
• Ensure staff maintain clinical competencies and skill sets.
• Be point of contact for all clinical development plans and ensure any training requirements are adhered to.
• Oversee Quality Outcome Framework, Investment Impact Fund, Local Enhanced Services, Direct Enhanced Services & local authority services (metrics).
• In conjunction with the Deputy PM coordinate the clinical rotas ensuring all areas have adequate cover and maintain level of capacity ensuring high level of patient care is maintained.
• Work collaboratively with our local PCN Network 4 and external partners including Sirona, St Peters Hospice, District Nurses, HV's
• In conjunction with the Deputy PM ensure all clinical staff have up-to-date validation and the core number of clinical hours are maintained.
• From time to time or when the need arises to participate in clinical sessions to maintain a level of patient care.
• Oversee all clinical ordering in line with clinical budgets set out by Green Valleys Health's annual budget process.
