Job summary
Park Farm Medical Centre are looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist to join our busy team based across two sites, working 25 - 37 hours per week. The role can be part-time or full-time depending on the requirements of the successful applicant. In
addition to this you will be required to work a small number of Saturdays each year on a rotational basis, and
must be flexible to work extra hours and different shifts to cover holidays and
sickness.
Applicants
should have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a pressurised
environment whilst remaining calm and approachable.
Knowledge of SystmOne clinical system would be an advantage. Previous
experience in General Practice is desirable but not essential, as full training
will be provided.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job involve dealing with patients and other stakeholders over the telephone, face-to-face or by other means of communication. You should be able to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment.

There are additional duties required of the reception team, such as patient registrations and removals, prescription admin, dealing with emails, and other administration duties deemed necessary by the team leader.
About us
Park Farm Medical Centre is a busy but friendly GP surgery. It is a long
established Practice situated north of Derby in the suburb of Allestree. We also
have another surgery situated on Vernon Street, which is not too far from the city centre. This is a refurbished Georgian building located in a conservation area near
Friar gate. Overall, we look after approx 12700 patients over the two sites.
You will be asked to work at both sites, on a rota
basis, within a team of 10 receptionists. The structure is headed up by a
Reception Team Leader and a Reception Shift Leader, who will train
and guide you with on-the-job training.
