Main duties of the job
This position requires a qualified and GMC-registered GP work with the
team at St Georges to deliver NHS General Medical Services to our registered
patients under GMS contract.
The post-holder will have a full contract of employment with St
Georges and be considered a full member of the clinical team. The post-holder
will be encouraged and supported to continue their professional development.
In addition to receiving a competitive salary, the post-holder will
have (pro rata) six weeks paid annual leave, one week paid study leave, dedicated
admin time, their own consultation room, and indemnity cover with MPS fully
paid by the Practice.
A clinical speciality is not required, but professional interest and
skills would be supported.

We are an accredited GP-training Practice, and encouraging learning and
development for all our staff is part of our ethos. Mentoring, training and
teaching opportunities will be readily available to our new GPs.
St Georges is a successful and thriving medium-sized rural Practice
with 12,800 patients, based in a modern purpose-built building. We are rated as
Good with Outstanding features by CQC and rated 5-stars by our patients on NHS
Choices. We achieve 100% QOF each year, run a dispensary, and
offer innovative services such as hosting community outreach chemotherapy, and
screening services. We host secondary care
services from our building wherever we can to support networks and
relationships.
One of our two GP Partners is
the Clinical Director of the local Primary Care Network, itself a
highly-regarded and progressive PCN.
We use SystmOne with the Ardens support tool. We also use the askmyGP
patient online communication software.
