Job summary
We are seeking a forward-thinking individual to join our friendly and efficient nursing team.
The successful applicant must be prepared to work at either of our two surgery sites, Totton Health Centre or Forest Gate Surgery, both based in Totton, Southampton.
This vacancy is for 20 hours per week over 4 working days.

Main duties of the job
Reporting in the first
instance to the Nursing Team Staff Lead, the successful candidate for this role
will have excellent administrative and communication skills with a proven
history of being well organised and highly motivated to achieve. They must have the ability to work on their own
initiative and as part of a team to ensure smooth running of the clinical administrative
function for the practice nursing team. Proven
extensive knowledge of Word and Excel software packages is essential. Previous Rota Management and Stock Control/inventory
knowledge is desirable and would be a distinct advantage.

We are a two-site partnership with a practice population of circa 25,000 patients.
An Enhanced Disclosure
and Barring Service check is required as the role will involve carrying out administrative
tasks at our regular child immunisation clinics.

- Use NHS Systems in order to support daily activities e.g. EMIS Web, Docman etc. (Training will be provided)
To liaise with other members of NHMP staff as appropriate e.g. IT, Care Co-ordinators, GPs etc.
- To attend Team meetings and cascade knowledge as appropriate – previous experience taking minutes would be advantageous
To carry out any other tasks deemed suitable for the grade

- HEALTH & SAFETY - To ensure safe working practice at all times. To adhere to the Infection Control procedures as per practice policy. To attend Health and Safety courses that may be deemed appropriate from time to time.
