practice with a great team of Doctors (4 Partners and 4 Salaried GPs), Nurses,
Admin and Reception staff.

Working days: Monday, Tuesday, Friday
Appointment times
-
Routine appointments are 10 minutes in length, with urgent appointments of 5 minutes.
Morning consists of a 3 hour surgery (usually 2.5 hours of routines and 30
minutes of 5 minute urgents), an equal share of home visits, an equal share of prescriptions for signing, an equal share of
hospital and other letters/reports to deal with, dealing with your own and the
other salaried GPs pathology and radiology results.
- Afternoon consists of a 2 hour 30 minute surgery (usually all routines).
On call days
- On call from 8.30 to 6.30, dealing with all urgent issues, urgent phone
calls, urgent home visits, urgent appointments and being available by mobile
phone during these hours.
- Usual on call day consists of morning 3 hour surgery from 8.30 (2.5 hours of
routines and 30 minutes of 5 minute urgents, with other doctors also seeing 30
minutes of urgents), afternoon surgery from 3.30 to 6.30 with urgent traige.
Non-NHS work
Non-NHS work such as medicals and life insurance reports will not generally be
included, unless the salaried doctor is best placed to provide the information
on the particular patient in question.
In that event, the fee will come to the practice. All cremation fees will also come to the
practice.

- Full General Medical Council registration with licence to practise
- On a GP Performers list
- Have had a clean enhanced DBS (CRB) check and willing to have another if offered post
- Member of a medical defence organisation
- Up to date with GP appraisals
- Have a full car driving licence and have the use of a car
- Computer literate especially in relation to GP related tasks
- Good communication and inter-personal skills
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work within a team
Desirable
- An interest in teaching/supervising GP trainees
- Knowledge of the EMIS Web computer system
- Willingness to attend practice meetings
