An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Salaried GP to join our team.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate with perform the full range of core GMS patient services.
Cator Medical Centre has a mixed patient demographic with pockets of social deprivation. There is a higher prevalence of patients presenting with socioeconomic concerns and who are in need of mental health support. We have a young patient population and hence an interest in child health would be advantageous.
Our Salaried GPs have their own patient lists and cover for each other in the event of sickness and absence.

Cator Medical Centre holds an APMS contract and has a list size of circa 11,000 patients. Our list size is growing and we have a wide patient catchment area with pockets of social deprivation.
Cator M/C is an accredited training practice.

As a key member of the primary care team you will participate in the delivery of care to the practice population and to be fully integrated into the practice activities and services
Duties and Responsibilities:-
Clinical:
Provide NHS Primary Medical Services to registered patients on the practice list.
Responding to medical problems presented by patients, including history taking, examination, investigation diagnosis, treatment and referral where appropriate.
Establishing appropriate systems to manage common chronic medical conditions, e.g. asthma and diabetes.
Providing appropriate preventative health care and advice within the context of primary health care
Providing Child Health Surveillance, Diabetes, Minor Operations and other enhanced services, if within your clinical competence.
Managing QOF & undertaking audit in area of interest.
Repeat prescribing for registered patients
Attending practice team meetings and other meetings as may be necessary for your duties.
You will be required to carry out home visits when required by a registered patient of the practice.
Administration:
General administration including patient queries, prescriptions and patient request, statutory reports, medical attendance reports, reviewing and maintaining patients clinical records.
You will have a list of patients assigned to you as their Usual GP to aid with administration matters.
Education:
Engaging in appropriate educational activity in order to maintain clinical and managerial competence and performance.
Participating in all educational activities that the Practice deems necessary to comply with service requirements.
Other Duties:
To participate in a rota for duty doctor and extended hours when requested.
