Job summary
We seek an experienced, enthusiastic, forward - thinking and
highly motivated Practice Manager to join our practice team.
Must have leadership skills, be confident in all aspects of
Primary care management, Finance, IT, planning and HR.
We will be looking for candidates of high integrity and
commitment, who are conscientious and have excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the practice
Manager. Depending on workload and staffing levels, there may be a requirement
to carry out other tasks.
Oversee the management of the day-to-day
operations of the practice, ensuring that staff achieve their primary
responsibilities.
Manage the HR processes, including recruitment,
relevant checks, contractual issues, appraisals and staff performance.
Ensure employment law and legislation is adhered
to.
Keep up to date with the developments and
changes within primary care.
Assist in the preparation of business cases for
new services, as required.
Responsible for communications with patients
including complaints handling, website.
Assist in ensuring QQF and commissioned service
targets are met.
Developing and implementing strategic plans to
support the practice in its growth and development.
Managing contracts for services
Managing the practice finances, including
budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting.
Oversee the review and update of all practice
policies and procedures.
Ensuring CQC compliance, support the management
of the PPG
Liase with external professional colleagues in
appropriate settings and forum to ensure that the Partners are kept up to date
with issues and agendas.

One of our Partners is the Clinical Director of the PCN and we work closely with our PCN.
