Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Practice for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join the clinical team.
We are looking for either a Paramedic Practitioner or Advanced Clinical Practitioner Nurse to provide a high quality service to our patients and contribute substantially to our clinical team.
You will use advanced skills within a consultation to assess, diagnose and treat patients. You will act as an autonomous clinician, with the support of the on call team.
You will be responsible for providing telephone and face to face consultations and also undertake home visits on occasions.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for seeing patients of all ages who present with a wide range of acute or minor illnesses and occasionally long term conditions.
You will provide a comprehensive assessment and arrange further investigations as required.
The basic hours of work are 36 per week as below
Monday 9.00-1.00 2.00-6.00
Tuesday 9.00-1.00
Wednesday 9.00-1.00 2.00-6.00
Thursday 9.00-1.00 2.00-6.00
Friday 9.00-1.00 2.00-6.00

Qualifications
Essential
- Paramedic Practitioner
- Qualified Paramedic registered with the HCPC
- Completed two year consolidation of learning period as a newly qualified Paramedic and have a further three years' experience as a Band 6 (or equivalent) Paramedic
- Be working towards developing master's level or equivalent capability in paramedic areas of practice and/or have completed and been signed off formally within the clinical pillar competencies of the paramedic FCP/AP roadmap to practice.
- Advanced Clinical Practitioner Nurse
- Graduated from a Centre for Advancing Practice accredited MSc advanced practice programme or completed the Centre's ePortfolio (supported) route.
Desirable
- Minor illness qualification
- Nurse prescribing qualification

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Full UK driving license
- Clear DBS check
