Job summary

We are looking for a salaried GP who is as enthusiastic and passionate about caring for our diverse population as much as we are.

The surgery currently has around 6600 patients and a full and supportive clinical and administration team.

Main duties of the job

You will provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages.

Diagnose and treat illnesses, promoting preventive care

Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses

Prescribe medications and treatments

Provide preventive care, including vaccinations and screenings

Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary

Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care techniques

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Review results and documents in EMIS web and Docman including identifying coding of information.

Medical degree from a recognised institution

Valid registration with the General Medical Council

Proven experience as a General Practitioner or similar role

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Flexibility to work in various healthcare settings- home care

Commitment to continuous professional development

About us

We are a friendly and well established team,at The Chowdhury Practice we treat all patients and their families with respect, we ask that all our patients and relatives do the same with all our staff.

The Chowdhury Practice Lead GP Dr Mohua Chowdhury became Lead GP after her late father Dr Delwar Chowdhury and her mother Dr Hasina Chowdhury. Dr Pinto Momen is GP partner and has worked with all of the Chowdhury GPs. We have 2 long term locum GPs, 2 ANPs, 2 Practice Nurse and 1 HCA along side a full admin team.

Our population are diverse and we have patients who have different communication needs ie English is not their first language, something that the successful candidate will be willing to consider in identifying support for contact and communication.

We are not a training practice currently, we do fully encourage PCN working and training for all staff.
