General Practitioner

Job summary

Due to the relocation of a salaried GP at the Practice, we are looking for a new GP to join our team. We are a training Practice and have a track record of supporting and nurturing our trainees into our team.

With a list size of 6440 we have 3 Partners and 4 salaried GP's with the majority working part time. Five of those GP's have been Trainees at the Practice. Our premises were one of the first purpose built Health Centres in the United Kingdom and were opened by Aneurin Bevan in 1956, but it has been modernised and refurbished since!

Our wider clinical team includes 2 Practice Nurses, a Nursing Associate and 2 Health Care Assistants.

Our PCN provides extra support with a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacist Technicians, Social Prescribers and Mental Health worker. Additional PCN wide roles include Dieticians and a Lower Limb vascular assessment service.

Main duties of the job

We are happy to consider applications from a newly qualified GP or a well-established GP looking for a change of scene or a portfolio career. We will be flexible for the right candidate and will consider a full- time or part-time salaried post either directly with the Practice, or as part of a Career Start Fellowship post. We are open to those considering Partnership, as we forward plan over the medium term.
