Job summary

We are looking to recruit a motivated, caring and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our friendly and supportive nursing team.

Main duties of the job

  1. blood pressure
  2. pulse rate and rhythm
  3. temperature
  4. height and weight body mass index
  5. venepuncture
  6. ECG
  7. Wound dressings
  8. Stitch removal
  9. Vitamin B12 injections
  10. Shingles and pneumonia vaccinations
  11. checking diabetic feet
  12. assist in minor surgery and coil clinics
  13. hypertension reviews
  14. Chronic disease health checks
  15. INR clinic
  16. Adult and child flu vaccination

Essential

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be confident, professional and compassionate at all times. Computer literate GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths. HCA Certificate

Desirable

  • Qualified in phlebotomy.
  • Care Certificate
  • Knowledge of EMIS Web Knowledge of general practice. Understanding of clinical coding
  • NVQ Level 3
